$ cd

$ wget http://nmap.org/dist/nmap-7.40.tar.bz2
$ tar xvf nmap-7.40.tar.bz2
$ cd nmap-7.40/
$ ./configure
$ make
$ sudo make install
$ make clean


now you can run it

$ nmap -h
